No Season 4 for the animated comedy.

Word is out that The Fungies has been cancelled by HBO Max after three seasons. The news comes eight months after the animated series wrapped its now-final run. It aired a total of 80 episodes since its premiere in 2020.
The show is set to be removed from the streaming service sometime this week as part of an effort to pare down its original slate of unscripted and animated fare. The show's creator, Stephen P. Neary, took to Twitter this afternoon to express his disappointment, saying he's "heartbroken" by the decision.
The Fungies follows a species of colorful mushroom folk who existed long ago on prehistoric Earth. Their unique biology allows them to pop their limbs off and on, trade limbs, and even combine their bodies. Their bustling town is home to Seth, a 10-year-old science lover who is fascinated by how the world works. Along with his artistic older brother Pascal, the two get into all kinds of trouble that is both hilarious and heartwarming.
Last night during a figure drawing class I found out that The Fungies! was getting pulled from HBO Max this week. I’m heartbroken but I want to take this opportunity to thank all the amazing artists and production folks for their hard work on this sincere, fever dream of a show pic.twitter.com/hJ9DP1WvRd

Gee I wonder what they will do and who they will blame when their viewership numbers plummet and people start cancelling their memberships.
