No Season 2 for the sci-fi drama.
September 9, 2022
It is being reported by Deadline that Paper Girls has been cancelled by Prime Video after one season. The news comes just over a month after the sci-fi drama released its 8-episode freshman run to high praise from critics and audiences. Producer Legendary Television is said to be trying to find a new home for the show on another platform.
Based on the graphic novels written by Brian K. Vaughan, the series follows four paper girls who are out on their delivery route in 1988 when they get caught in the crossfire between warring time-travelers, changing the course of their lives. This transports them into the future, where they must figure out a way to get back home to the past. Their journey brings them face-to-face with the grown-up versions of themselves, as they reconcile that their futures are far different than their 12-year-old selves ever imagined.

Found it by accident and liked it a lot. Yet another show that was too smart?

It was a great and surprising show. It's a shame they cancel it. It was one of those show, which I expected to get a season 2...

For those wanting to continue delving into the plot, the comic is excellent and ongoing.

Bbbooo! Loved it. This is why I wait for a few seasons. They get you invested and pull it.

Most people have probably never even heard of this show. I wish they promoted it more. It was a good show.

I really liked the show but I think they launched it at the wrong time (stranger things) and no one knew about it. I'm sad to see it go and hope they reconsider

Ummmmm…. What? Disappointing I had no idea this show existed. Agree with you guys that I probably just scrolled right on by such a title. Even that hot pink on yellow is certainly a “decision” for a Sci-Fi show. Boo.

Great show. The qcting was great , the stiry was good but the name of the show was not one to attract viewers. If you like sci fi this should work fir you. And having a 12 year meeet her 37 year old future self and shes a total failure was a great idea. Can she change that? Fewer cancelled shows get second chances these days but the 12 year old actors make thos one worth saving

Boo! Hiss! Foul!
I surely hope the show finds a new home! Not just because the first season ended on a cliffhanger, but because the show was great!
