NBC confirmed today that The Voice will be returning for a 23rd season in 2023. The announcement came shortly before original coach Blake Shelton announced that Season 23 of the show will be his last.
The new coaching lineup for next season will consist of Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Chance the Rapper, and Niall Horan. Clarkson is returning after taking the current season off, while Chance and Horan will be coaching for the first time.
Should the show continue after that, it will be the first time in its history that an original coach will not be occupying at least one of the big red chairs.

Also, the show puts plenty of focus on the contestants. The banter mostly takes place during the early audition rounds when the coaches are assembling their teams. Once the live shows start it really focuses on the singing.
I think the show has found a really good formula that works. If they took away the banter and just had singer after singer in the early rounds it would be so bland.
