The singing competition will return in 2023.
October 11, 2022
NBC confirmed today that The Voice will be returning for a 23rd season in 2023. The announcement came shortly before original coach Blake Shelton announced that Season 23 of the show will be his last.
The new coaching lineup for next season will consist of Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Chance the Rapper, and Niall Horan. Clarkson is returning after taking the current season off, while Chance and Horan will be coaching for the first time.
Should the show continue after that, it will be the first time in its history that an original coach will not be occupying at least one of the big red chairs.

@Chris: Why are you replying to me, critiquing MY opinion? You know what, never mind Karen, take the win cringey.

It really sucks that Blake is leaving. He's become one of my favorite reasons to watch the show over the years. And that 'banter' is a big reason why I watch it. It can be very funny and keeps things fun and entertaining.
Also, the show puts plenty of focus on the contestants. The banter mostly takes place during the early audition rounds when the coaches are assembling their teams. Once the live shows start it really focuses on the singing.
I think the show has found a really good formula that works. If they took away the banter and just had singer after singer in the early rounds it would be so bland.

@goeze Maybe you should try watching a full episode before judging. And please stop using the word cringey. Not only is it totally overused, it’s just a terrible word to describe something.

I have never watched a full episode, only seen bits and pieces of episodes but what I have seen has been "cringey". I do not like the "bantering" with the judges and just wished they would cut that part out and get to the actual talents. Maybe with Blake gone they can revamp the show and make it more about the contestants.
