Undiscovered talent is swapping out for known stars.
August 4, 2026
NBC announced today that a new eventized season of The Voice has started production for a premiere sometime in 2027. Titled 'The Voice: Celebrity,' the special season will swap undiscovered talent for a wide range of celebrities - actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality television stars - who will compete to become the first 'Voice' celebrity champion. The celebrity artists will be announced at a later date.
In another first for the series, multi-hyphenate Keke Palmer will take the helm as host, in place of Carson Daly. There is no word on whether this change will be permanent going forward, but Daly will still serve as a producer on the celebrity season. Joe Jonas is set to make his coaching debut alongside coaches Queen Latifah and Riley Green, both returning for back-to-back seasons.
'The Voice: Celebrity' will offer unprecedented access to artists throughout the competition as viewers watch familiar faces step outside their comfort zones and reveal new sides of themselves. New features such as Voice Boot Camp give viewers a behind-the-scenes look as the stars celebrities prepare for their fan-favorite Blind Auditions while the VIP Room brings artists together to watch their fellow celebrities take stage in real time. Later in the competition, the Workroom offers another window into the process as artists strategize, rehearse and ready themselves for the Battles.
