The spinoff series is topped up to 22 episodes.
October 21, 2022
ABC announced today that The Rookie: Feds has been picked up for a full season. The network has ordered nine additional episodes of the procedural drama, bringing its freshman total to 22.
Premiering in late September, the show is four episodes into its run. Today's pickup makes it ABC's first full-season order of the 2022-2023 season.
A spinoff of 'The Rookie', which is currently in its fifth season, the series follows Simone Clark, the oldest rookie in the FBI Academy. When the bureau launches a new unit focused on spending more time on the streets, she steps forward to try and make a difference.

Usually someone comments on how good a show is. No one has anything nice to say about this show. I think a rookie federal agent would not be in the thick of things. Very unrealistic. ABC has many garbage shows. This junk will be on for years.

OMG it is so bad. I usually like the spin off but when the back door pilot was shown last season, it was so forgetful that you don't even realise it was a back door pilot. I tried to preserver with it but after the first episode I had to cross it out. Watched the latest cross-over episode, should've not watch it as there was no linkage.
BTW she should really dress more appropriately. No one else on the show or The Rookie dresses like her. Really makes the show even worse but I guess it creates something for people to talk about.

She's just not believable as an fbi agent. She's the wrong actress for the role. I like the rookie and had high hopes jis spin off but this has really let me down.

I've seen the first four episodes and tbh it's not good. With The Rookie you had to buy that a middle aged construction worker could become a cop. This show you have to buy that a middle-aged school teacher with ridiculously huge bazoongas can become an FBI agent. Oh and also an actor from the show "Vampire Cop". They've basically tripled the amount of silly from the get.
That's kinda my main issue, The Rookie has serious undertones that make for good episodes with high stakes when the moment calls for it. This spinoff is just too ridiculous.
I also don't enjoy the dynamics between the main character and everyone else. She acts like a know-it-all in MANY situations based on her life experience teaching kids and already her attitude is quite annoying and generates a lot of moronic generalizations.
At the same time Simone seems to have an aversion towards following the rules, a compulsion for giving unsolicited advice and in general thinks she's hot shit and that her charm will get her through anything. All of these traits should exclude her from being an FBI agent.
Finally, there's the woke stuff which also seems dialed to 200% in this show. I'm not even going to rant about it, I'm just going to "NOPE" out of this show.

A good show draws you in and makes you forget it's fiction. This show is so unrealistic that it destroys the suspension of disbelief. Not surprisingly, Neicy Nash is one of the Exec Producers and this clearly is a vanity show. No federal agency would let an agent walk around with her boobs so desperate to escape or let her disobey rules and regs. It's so fake that it's just not watchable.

I watched about ten minutes of the first episode. It was so silly, that I turned it off. Are her boobs co stars?
