No Season 2 for the Charlie Hunnam drama.

It is being reported by Deadline that Shantaram has been cancelled by Apple TV+ after one season. The news comes just hours before the release of the drama's freshman finale, which will now serve as its series ender. The show garnered a decidedly mixed critical reception, though viewer feedback leaned more towards the positive.
Based on the bestselling novel by Gregory David Roberts, the series stars Charlie Hunnam as Lin Ford, a fugitive hiding out in the vibrant and chaotic city of Bombay in the 1980s. Alone in an unfamiliar city, Lin struggles to avoid the trouble he's running from. After meeting and falling for an enigmatic woman, he must decide between freedom or love and the complications that come with it.

This was not a bad show. But a for soa. that is a long time in the past at this point. And the soa actor who went mad and killed his landlady and her cat before leaping to his death means that will certainly never happen.

Charlie has so much passion for the work he does..this show deserved a season 2 i think it started off slow but the ending would have kicked off a great next season..from watching the interviews about the show this had so much meaning to it..Charlie is a actor that literally feels the true roles he plays..i think hes brilliant and just on a very humble level level when it comes to his career! im so disappointed there wont be a season 2 of shantaram

Don't get it.....It was such a loved show by a lot of people. I guess there really might not be much of a story after Bombay but thought it might get another season at least. O well at least there are plenty of pathetic reality shows to watch

Charlie Hunnan is a real actor. A good one. He made that mistep performing thru the 2+ hour king movie with the vampire guy from twilight.
AND THIS IS BAD. I MEAN COME ON c.h. don't star in a movie that starts with the name of a pop soda drink.
C.H. is getting dogsnotted on by hollywood. Maybe he met a Weinstein-type? There is gay on gay. Also old as hollywood. Don't have to have tons of types, abbreviations, or labels to just not feel good at some moment.
C.H. is the breakout star if the oscars want him to play.

Wow dude has no luck outside SOA. He should find a way to get a SOA reboot and figure out a way to get out of Jaxs is dead.
