Disney announced that Hamster & Gretel has been renewed for Season 2. The animated series premiered on Disney Channel in August, airing a 13-episode run that wrapped in late November.

The half-hour series follows young Gretel Grant-Gomez and her pet hamster, who are given superpowers by aliens, as well as the responsibility of being "heroes on Earth." Gretel's teen brother, Kevin, was overlooked by the aliens, but often acts as the brains behind their missions. Now, Hamster & Gretel try to save the world from supervillains and other threats - all while keeping their identities a secret.
