Adult Swim is bringing back Aqua Teen Hunger Force for Season 12. The order consists of five new episodes, which will be the shortest season of the animated comedy to-date and its first since 2015. The news comes on the heels of the 2022 direct-to-video film, 'Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm.'
"We are thrilled to be making more 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force' episodes for a new generation of fans, building upon the most impressive collection of IP ever assembled. Success is optimal and leads to quality," said creators Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis in a statement.
The series follows the surreal adventures of Meatwad, Master Shake, and Frylock - a squabbling trio of anthropomorphic, life-sized fast food items. Meatwad is a shape-shifting and simple-minded ball of hamburger meat; Master Shake is a pathological lying milkshake; and Frylock is an intelligent box of french fries. Together they fight a myriad of monsters, aliens, and mad scientists in their native city of New Jersey.

Yes, I checked out of the ATHF after season 6.
Saw the movie, not bad.
Tried to watch episodes from season 9 and ten but the stuff was so random and weird... I just couldn't keep up.
This seems like a safe revisit. Just 5 episodes. Maybe it gets back to basics. Loungin' in the neighbors pool, watching the skies for mooninites, messing up Carl's lawn, ....
