The drama will not return for a third season.

It is being reported by TVLine that Blood & Treasure has been cancelled by Paramount+ after its second season. The news comes four months after the adventure drama made its long-awaited sophomore return.
The series premiered on CBS back in 2019, performing well enough that it was quickly picked up for Season 2. Unfortunately for fans things went quiet after that for three years, until it was eventually announced that it was still coming back in the summer of 2022, except that it would be moving to the Paramount+ streaming service. This time, though, it looks like the story will not continue any further.
Blood & Treasure follows a brilliant antiquities expert who teams up with a cunning art thief in order to catch a ruthless terrorist who uses stolen treasure to fund his attacks. As the duo traverses the globe in search of their target, they unwittingly find themselves entrenched in a centuries-old battle for the cradle of civilization.

Loved this show, then CBS moved to Paramount THREE YEARS LATER. 3 year break, then on another channel, wonder why it's cancelled.

This is disappointing, but not really surprising... I enjoyed both seasons, thought it was fun, if not the most well-acted show, but it was something different than everything else out there and those fans of this treasure hunting adventure genre are pretty starved for it...

Sad news, this was a fun show and despite some of the heavy themes, they kept it light and family friendly, but the break really killed any momentum it had.

It was a delightful summer diversion when it first aired. But it was also a series that could be quickly forgotten without more episodes and CBS dropped the ball.

Sorry to hear this. It was a fun show. I wondered about it being canceled when I saw Matt Barr in Walker Independence. Too bad since Walker is a terrible show.

I watched S1 on CBS, and for me, I wondered if I'd even bother with a S2. Then I heard it had moved over to Paramount+, which I've yet to subscribe/pay-more-for even though I was already paying for Xfinity and DirecTV, at the time (since cutting back to just Xfinity w/a package of HD channels). Accordingly, I didn't have to decide whether to watch S2 as it was not available to me; and therefore, I'm not going to miss it. I saw no reason for CBS to move it to Paramount+, as well as even having a Paramount+. TV is just becoming less important to me as time goes on.

I am so sorry to read this. I really enjoyed the show. It was on of the few that I looked forward to.

Bummer, but not totally unexpected. I really enjoyed both seasons of this, but after the looong gap between them, plus the move to the streaming service, I suspected it's time was probably up. No doubt a fairly expensive show to make with all the exotic locations,so it would have had to pull the pretty decent numbers of viewers. When I saw that Max Barr had moved on and was now starring in Walker Independence I figured that was probably it for Blood & Treasure. Sorry to see it go, though. Not a lot of other shows out there like it.
