The word guessing game show will return for Season 2.

CBS announced today that Lingo has been picked up for a second season in 2023-2024. The news comes just over a month after the prime time game show's debut.
The series actually originated back in 1987 and has aired three other iterations in syndication as well as on the Game Show Network. The current version, which is hosted and executive produced by RuPaul, is the first one to broadcast in prime time.
Lingo is a high-stakes solve-the-puzzle competition where teams of two battle it out in multiple rounds of guessing letters that in-turn reveal seemingly simple words. The winning teams of the early rounds then face off in an intense showdown to take home the money that has been accumulated in the pot.

I liked this show in that it's very much different that other word-based game shows. RuPaul seems to bring a 1960's vibe to "Lingo" in his delivery.

Not a bad version of Lingo. Just get rid of the magic balls coming down from the ceiling. RuPaul seems to like his job and is nice to the contestants. DVR this show. It is long without fast forward.
