Word is out that Three Pines has been cancelled by Prime Video after just one season. Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers, who plays Isabelle, broke the news on Instragram with a heartfelt post thanking those who supported the show. The drama premiered in December with an 8-episode run that garnered an overall positive reception from viewers and critics.
Based on Louise Penny's best-selling novels, the drama follows Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, who sees things that others may not: the light between the cracks, the mythic in the mundane, and the evil in the seemingly ordinary. While investigating a string of murders in the idyllic village of Three Pines in the Eastern Townships, he discovers long-buried secrets that force him to face ghosts of his own.

Alfred Molina is a great actor. This show was a predictable yawner. I couldn't even finish all of the episodes.

Gee a show featuring indigenous content with an indigenous lead didn’t make it in white America! Shocking! I’ve been waiting my whole life for Native American/First Nations programming but it never seems to arrive. There have been a handful of movies over the years that were made by Indians, acted by Indians, for Indians, but never made for tv programming. The only outlier being Reservation Dogs on FX/Hulu. Native Americans and First Nations people have so many great stories to tell so hopefully there will be more coming in the future.

Horrible news. This was a great show with an amazing lead actor. Prime screwed up on this one. Go figure

That's miserable plot twist. Alfred Molina and the entire cast surely brought their A-game. The stories drifted into the dark zone, but nevertheless remained peppy and interesting (thanks to actors doing a great job). Don't make no sense why they pulled the plug!

Disappointing. Loved this show and though Alfred Molina was really terrific as the lead.
