A drama following an inspector investigating murders in an idyllic village.
Chief Inspector Armand Gamache sees things that others may not: the light between the cracks, the mythic in the mundane, and the evil in the seemingly ordinary.
While investigating a string of murders in the idyllic village of Three Pines in the Eastern Townships, he discovers long-buried secrets that force him to face ghosts of his own.
Based on Louise Penny's best-selling novels.

I like it. An Inspector Morse meets Quebec. Unfortunately to me, it felt slightly woke. I've never met an Indian who referred to themself as Native American let alone indigenous. Kind of insults your audience when you won't even say that these are Mohawks.

They should've followed the tone of the books more closely. Instead, they went for a stereotypical dark & creepy small rural town. And they totally mixed up the characters of Gabri & Olivier. Still, they could've fixed things up for a better season 2 and not left us with a cliffhanger season/series finale.

It was campy. Maybe that ended it.

It looks more like scifi. I'd try if I was paying for prime.
