No Season 3 for the Sarah Shahi drama.
April 7, 2023
It is being reported that Sex/Life has been cancelled by Netflix after two seasons. It has been just over a month since the drama returned for its shortened 6-episode sophomore run after a nearly two-year wait between seasons.
The writing appeared to be on the wall that the show would not continue after star Sarah Shahi opened up about struggles she had while filming the second season. On this week's episode of the 'Not Skinny But Not Fat' podcast, Shahi said of the show, "I'm not going to put it down, but I definitely did not have the support that I did the first season from the people involved in the show. It became a much different thing for me, and I'm not afraid to say that. I struggled with the material. I just felt the thing that it had the first season — I mean, I'm never gonna work for Netflix again now after saying all this, but I can't lie. And it was definitely a challenge."
Based on the novel '44 Chapters About 4 Men' by BB Easton, the series stars Shahi as stay-at-home suburban wife and mom Billie Connelly. In her younger years, she was a free-spirited wild child living in New York, and when her bad-boy former flame comes back into her life, Billie's sexual past collides with her present family life as she remembers the sense of freedom she once had.

A little bummed just because there aren’t that many “sexy” shows right now, but it seems like this is for the best. The quality of season 2 wasn’t as good, and it seems like the filming wasn’t as smooth either.

I pretty much like all the actors, but the only character i felt bad for was Trina - the rest i just wished bad things upon. My wife loved the show, but personally, im okay with never watching it again...

So disappointed! But glad they ended it the way they did. It was a good closing to the story

The show deals in infidelity with thoroughly unlikeable characters. As such you cannot buy into the characters, and the steamy sex scenes will only carry you so far.

Phew! Season 1 was good enough, but it really became unbearable towards the end. I haven't finished watching the last episode of Season 1, and I don't intend to watch any more.
Having said that, treat your women right, Netflix. I am disappointed with the reason for the cancellation. I wonder if we'll get more news about this.

I liked season 1 and was excited for season 2. I didn't even know season 2 was out. They shouldn't have waited so long to release it. Will give it a miss

Season 1 was pretty good. Have not watched season 2 yet. Probably will not miss it.
