ABC announced today that Will Trent has been renewed for Season 2. The news comes with three episodes remaining in the drama's 13-episode freshman run, which concludes on May 2. The show premiered earlier this year as a midseason entry, garnering a positive reception from viewers and critics.
Based on the hit book series by Karin Slaughter, the series follows Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI), who was abandoned at birth and grew up in Atlanta's overwhelmed foster care system. Determined to use his unique point of view to ensure nobody else is abandoned like he was, Trent has the highest clearance rate in the GBI.
Look for Season 2 of Will Trent during the 2023-2024 season. It is not yet known if it will stay a midseason show or be moved to the regular fall schedule.

So glad this got renewed, my husband and I really like it a lot.
I also agree with Brian’s comment about it being put on a more regular schedule with less breaks and more consecutive weeks in a row. I feel like the show starts to build momentum then there’s a break which throws it off.

Yay! I ended up really loving this show and am delighted it will be back!

I love this show, however, I wish they would put it on a schedule that didn't have so many breaks in it. It is like on one week not on for 1-2 weeks then comes back, and repeated...Basically saying more consecutive weeks fewer breaks.

I was pleasantly surprised with this series. I like it and glad to see it renewed.
