Word is out that Truth Be Told has been cancelled by Apple TV+ after three seasons. Star Octavia Spencer took to Instagram with the news, thanking Apple as well as the show's cast and crew. The cancellation comes one month after the drama wrapped its now-final run.
Based on Kathleen Barber's 2017 novel 'Are You Sleeping,' the series stars Spencer as investigative reporter Poppy Parnell, who has a popular true-crime podcast. In the first season she is asked to investigate the case of a convicted serial killer she helped to incriminate after new evidence arises. Seasons 2 and 3 has Poppy investigating the death of a filmmaker and the disappearance of several young black girls.

That's too bad. My wife and I liked this show and enjoyed season 3. Season 3 did wrap up without a cliffhanger, Sara.
