The Apple TV+ drama scores an early pickup.

Apple TV+ wants more of The Morning Show. The streaming service has picked up the drama for Season 4 well ahead of its third season, which isn't slated to premiere until later this year.
The show premiered in 2019 with a two-season order as one of the first original series on Apple TV+. Its sophomore run aired in 2021 but it has yet to set a return date for Season 3.
Featuring a cast led by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, the series is set at a popular early morning news broadcast in the midst of a scandal, and behind the scenes there is a struggle to survive during a time when news and information is readily available in the palms of most people's hands. After a long-time broadcast team is broken up, the remaining host is left to fight for her job as a rivalry brews with an aspiring journalist looking to move up the ranks.

This show is a terrific drama. The first season is probably the best but none disappoints. Great writing and acting. Worth the subscription to A-TV+ just for this.

I liked the first season but I felt they completely lost direction in the 2nd. I think it was a big mistake to get rid of Steve Carell's character, they could have pursued some interesting and brave choices related to societal perceptions about sexual assault/abuse, instead the show now seems to have become some girl boss backstage fight show with some LGBT flavor.
