No Season 2 for the Hilary Swank drama.

Word is out that Alaska Daily has been cancelled by ABC after one season. Coming six weeks after its freshman finale, the news is not surprising as the drama struggled to find a sizeable audience over the course of its 11-episode run.
The series stars Hilary Swank as Eileen Fitzgerald, a recently disgraced reporter from New York who leaves her high-profile career behind looking for a fresh start at a daily metro newspaper in Anchorage, Alaska. There, she begins a journey to find personal and professional redemption.

A few preachy storylines, but I agree, a good show and a great cast...ABC is burning everything down except lousy reality shows!

Sadly I saw this coming... it didn't seem like it would appeal to a huge number of people. I enjoyed it though and would have watched another season.
