No Season 2 for the dark comedy.
July 1, 2023
Word is out that Apple TV+ has cancelled High Desert after just one season. Star Patricia Arquette took to Instagram with the news, letting her followers know that the dark comedy will not be continuing.
"A lot of you have asked about High Desert and if there was going to be a second season, so I just wanted to let you know we just found out that it won't be coming back, so that's a sad bummer for all of us," said Arquette in the posted video. "I just want to say to all the crew out there, love you guys you were wonderful. And the writers and the actors - we just had a blast." See the full video below.
High Desert follows Peggy, an on-again, off-again addict who is looking for a new start as a private investigator after the death of her beloved mother, who she lived with in the small desert town of Yucca Valley, California.

I just started watching this. The lead character is a drug addict and theif. But you would hope as it progresses she gets redemption.. the location is awesome though . I think hollywierd should have just had her down on her luck, that appeals to everyone .. 50 year old women on drugs is not going to connect as few that age still are abusers except in hollywierd.

WTF!!! This is a very good comedy. So pissed. We were loving this series. I hate when this happens to good shows. One of the bright spots for Apple is that they have been renewing series instead of being like dumb Netflix and others. Patricia Arquette is fantastic in this role and all the other actors did a great job. When is a company with money like Apple more money than anything going to understand you have to have more than one season for people to start to tune in. Do you know how many people won’t start to watch a series until there is at least 2 or 3 seasons because so many shows are canceled after one year. It’s pointless to watch a series for one year without any closure.

Yucca Valley? If I had know that I might have given this show a look.
But the ads for it gave very little clues on what it was about. It looked like a bunch of Hollywood stars in a vanity project only they understood.

I'm so pissed! This show was funny and anything that Patricia Arquette is in is going to be good. Cancel Invasion instead of this great show. Invasion sucks.
