No Season 3 for the wrestling drama.
September 25, 2023
It is being reported that Starz has cancelled Heels after two seasons. The news comes less than two weeks after the wrestling drama wrapped its 8-episode sophomore run, which returned in July after a nearly two year absence. Like its first season, Season 2 again garnered praise from both critics and audiences.
Set in the close-knit community of Duffy, Georgia, the series follows brothers Jack and Ace Spade, who war over their late father's wrestling promotion. Jack runs the operation and writes the storylines, where somebody must portray the good guy and somebody must be their nemesis, aka the heel. But in the real world, those characters can be hard to live up to — or leave behind.

Wow - season 2 was even better than season 1. Just 1 episode with way too much talking and preaching but all the rest, fantastic.
It must have been difficult to put more and more awesomeness in the end of each episode but they nailed it.
But so stupid of the writers to end on such a cliffhanger: it doesn't stop the network bozos from axing you, it just leaves your audience in the cold. Booo writers!

I loved this show! After a 2 year absence, due probably to COVID people obviously lost interest. I'm also guessing it became too expensive to produce. Maybe, the producers can shop this to a streaming service. Please?

What the heck? I love this show... It totally explained wrestling to me and I love Stephen Arnel. Why would cancel a popular show?

Disappointed to say the least. This show was something different. It was a good story, great acting, and a unique setting. Nothing else like it out there. And what a cliffhanger to leave it at! This is why these renewal decisions after the season is over have got to go! Make up your minds so, if cancelation is going to happen, at least the shows producers have time to wrap things up.

Sorry, but this was NOT a good show.
I saw season 1.. meh.. have season 2 ready but haven't felt compelled to watch it yet. Figured based on season 1.. it was best to wait for it all so it could be binged... then given up on if it was as bad as season 1.
It was.. adequate or mediocre at best... better than much of Starz content (primarily because it's not yet another spinoff of Power)... but was nowhere near a "must see".

Shame on you Starz! I was afraid this would happen. First you messed around a year and half with releasing a finished season 2. Now you cancelled this excellent show that left us a great cliffhanger. Enough is enough, I'm cancelling my Starz subscription!,other people that feel the same need to cancel Starz too!

Why?? Every show my wife and I watch gets canceled! Hope Netflix or Amazon or other networks pick up for another season! So disappointed!
