March 21, 2024
It is being reported by Deadline that Showtime has reversed its decision to produce a second season of Uncoupled. The news comes a year after the comedy was said to have been picked up by the cable network after being cancelled by Netflix.
The half-hour series premiered in 2022, starring Neil Patrick Harris as Michael, a married man from Manhattan who had the perfect life until his partner of 17 years unexpectedly walked out on him. Suddenly, Michael finds himself facing two nightmare scenarios - losing his soulmate and being a single gay man in his mid-40s.

C’mon Hulu, it’s your turn to come to the rescue!

Darn. The last I heard was that NPH was waiting for the warmer weather to start filming. Then COVID hit. I agree with floridAL. I think most of the actors have moved on to other projects. I hardly watch Showtime these days. Thier merger with Paramount + and their attempt to monetize Showtime's programming, making it only available through the paywall of Paramount+ apps. If you have Showtime and want to stream, you have to subscribe to +. Not Cool

Well, that's one reason less to subscribe to Paramount+/Showtime. I suspect part of the reason is that the actors have moved onto other projects. Marcia Gay Harden is now on So Help Me Todd and that show is very successful. Maybe she didn't want to do both.

So dumb. This show deserves another season.
