No Season 3 for the sci-fi drama.
April 5, 2024
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Quantum Leap after two seasons. The news comes less than two months after the sci-fi drama wrapped its 13-episode sophomore run. The move is not really a surprise, as it was one of the network's lowest-rated scripted series.
A continuation of the 1989 show of the same name, Quantum Leap takes place 30 years after Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the accelerator and vanished. Now, a new team led by physicist Ben Song has been assembled to restart the project to try and understand the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. But everything changes when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving his team behind to figure out why he did it.

Thank goodness. I’m with @Laura. It went too woke. I’m ok with the leaping into female bodies. When Sam did it, it was funny. Ben felt more like it trying to make political statements. I loved Addison and Magic. All the other characters were too much. When it was just Sam and Al, it worked. I’d love to see an episode where Sam is brought home but doesn’t look lik it will happen in this installment.

Well this sucks the big one! Show like Quantum Leap gets cancelled, yet reality shows keep running which are almost all fake. *Angry emoji*

Several comments said that they should have had Sam Beckett back. They wanted to buy wasn't interested.

You have Laura and Wendy calling the show “woke.” People need to quit using this word altogether. You’re all idiots. You don’t even know what it means. Good show. Not even close to “woke.”

Not heart broken. They could have done so much more with it. Should have at some point, actually found Sam Beckett ( have Scott Bakula guest star). Would have been a great plot twist.

Wow, this is so sad to me. I really liked this show!! I was just a kid when the original was on so I never got to see it. I liked this one (despite all the woke garbage) and thought the actors/actresses did a great job--and I liked the storylines. Hopefully another network (maybe FOX or CBS?) will pick this up!!

That’s Wrong QL is a Great show and NBC moved that second season a couple times day/time wise. It deserves another Season on Another Network

Dang one of the few show I watch on NBC. I hope this show will continue on at another network. I still would like for Sam to return home.
