No Season 3 for the sci-fi drama.
April 5, 2024
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Quantum Leap after two seasons. The news comes less than two months after the sci-fi drama wrapped its 13-episode sophomore run. The move is not really a surprise, as it was one of the network's lowest-rated scripted series.
A continuation of the 1989 show of the same name, Quantum Leap takes place 30 years after Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the accelerator and vanished. Now, a new team led by physicist Ben Song has been assembled to restart the project to try and understand the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. But everything changes when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving his team behind to figure out why he did it.

Seriously? The arc with the investor was off, but damn - I really wanted them to bring Sam and Ben home at the end. I liked the tie-ins with the original series. I was skeptical that they could rival the original, but they did a decent job. Somebody please pick this up.

I loved both shows--the original and this one. I felt the cliff hanger was going to make for an original season!
Ps: Laura if you don't know what "woke" means, then don't use it.

Worse than The Time Tunnel with Whit Bissell, the world's most boring alleged actor.

The networks need to keep canning shows that do not connect to other shows like the FBIs or Chicago Wednesday. My advice is to stop watching networks. Try Netflix, MGM+, Showtime, and Starz. Variety awaits.

Mixed feelings about this one.
The Hannah storyline was great, in fact as a general rule most of the individual leaps were nice, but the at-home part of the show, with Ian, and Addison's new boyfriend, and the big bad psychotic secret investor, and the "plot twist"… was utterly boring. The last episode is easily one of the worst of the whole show.

I just wish they had not done a cliff hanger like the original series
