No Season 3 for the detective drama.

It is being reported that So Help Me Todd has been cancelled by CBS after two seasons. The news comes with four episodes remaining in the drama's now-final run, with its May 16 episode now set to serve as its series ender.
Creator Scott Prendergast took to Instagram following the news, expressing gratitude to everyone involved in making the show as well as all the viewers, calling it the best professional experience of his life. See his full post below.
The show has been garnering decent ratings so far this season, but it does rank as one of the lowest-watched dramas on the network. It appears today's cancellation was needed in order to make room on the schedule for one of its upcoming new dramas set for the 2024-2025 season.
So Help Me Todd follows a guy named Todd, who has always wanted to be a private detective. Now that he is, he's very good at it. When his lawyer mom offers him a job as an in-house investigator at her firm, he reluctantly agrees - as long as she promises to let him be who he wants to be.

Everyone should go to the petition that was put online and sign it so MAYBE CBS will change their minds and if not perhaps a smarter network will pick it up since CBS is certainly living up to what it's initials stand for...Complete BUll S..t !!

Very disappointed because SHMT was well made, great characters, well acted going to miss it hopefully some Network realizes what a mistake CBS is making.

My favorite show on the networks. Big mustake. One of the few things that was Interesting to watch. Maybe another network will pick
them up.

I love this show please reconsider. CBS is the only channel that we watch. We don't want anymore game show. Please save it we love it.

I love crime drama, but sometimes levity is the answer to the day. Why are all the light hearted shows the ones getting the axe? Come on CBS. Some of us don't want another CSI,reality, trite show!

CBS is always canceling good shows. They made huge mistake with So Help Me Todd. Still time to do Season 3.

Are you kidding me?! This was the only show on CBS worth watching and I loved it! I am so sick of csi and NCIS spinoffs. SHMT was a riot and the stories were clever. What in the world is wrong with this network? I truly hope they get picked up by another network. Please, please save this show!!!!!
