A drama following a P.I. who agrees to work as the in-house investigator for his mother.
Growing up, Todd always wanted to be a private detective. Now that he is, he's very good at it. When his lawyer mom offers him a job as an in-house investigator at her firm, he reluctantly agrees - as long as she promises to let him be who he wants to be.

Big fan of this new show--Astin is quirky and brilliant. Marcia Gay Harden is wonderful. She's wonderful anyway but please oh please get rid of Madeline Wise. She is depressing to watch. She never smiles, and she is constantly constantly complaining about Todd, even when he is doing the right thing. She brings the show down. Write her off or get another character that is not so depressing and annoying at the same time!

I really enjoy this show. The pace is brisk and the characters are funny. Skyler Austin is a fine physical comedian. He gets a chance to funny run in every episode. Marcia Gay Harden is a pleasure to watch. I wouldn’t be surprised if she were nominated for best comedy actress during award season. The formula is repetitive but that fits with the characters relationships with each other. There is potential for development for them all and that would be fun to watch. So far, the best comedy of the season.
