The animated series will not return for a second season.

It is being reported that Scavengers Reign has been cancelled by Max after just one season. The news comes six months after the animated sci-fi series wrapped its 12-episode freshman run on the streaming service.
Based on the 2016 animated short film "Scavengers," the half-hour series follows the remaining crew of a damaged interstellar freighter ship who become stranded on a beautiful, yet unforgiving alien planet where the laws of physics as we know them do not apply. As they work to locate their downed ship and missing crewmates, the survivors discover a hostile world that has thrived without human interference. Now they must survive long enough to either escape or be rescued.
There is word that the show will be available for streaming on Netflix beginning May 31. Should it fare well there, Netflix could possibly order a second season. Time will tell though, as nothing is in place at this point.

HBO/Discovery canceling another show? Get the f@$k out of here. I am waiting for them to dump Tokyo Vice. I pay for HBO simply for John Oliver. Warrior-gone. Titans-gone. Everything worth watching soon to be gone.
