No Season 3 for the video game-based drama.
July 18, 2024
Word is out that Halo has been cancelled by Paramount+ after two seasons. The news comes four months after the video game-based drama wrapped its 8-episode sophomore run on the streaming service.
"We are extremely proud of this ambitious series and would like to thank our partners at Xbox, 343 Industries and Amblin Television, along with showrunner and executive producer David Wiener, his fellow executive producers, the entire cast led by Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief and the amazing crew for all their outstanding work," Paramount+ said in a statement. "We wish everyone the best going forward."
"We deeply appreciate the millions of fans who propelled the Halo series to be a global success and we remain committed to broadening the Halo universe in different ways in the future," added 343 Industries. "We are grateful to Amblin and Paramount for their partnership in bringing our expansive sci-fi universe to viewers around the world."
In Halo, there is a war for the survival of humanity in the 26th century, with humans warring against an alien threat called the Covenant. Master Chief is mankind's best weapon against the invaders, as he was trained for the single purpose of winning this very war.

I really liked Halo (the tv series) and sorry to see it go. For some reason, I'd thought a S3 was already announced, so an extra shock to me:(
I do like all the Taylor Sheridan shows on Paramount+, but I'm also considering cancelling my Paramount+ subscription soon as others are. I need to go to my Paramount+ app now and delete Halo from "my list".

Paramount Plus cancels everything that isn’t for the over 40 crowd. It’s ridiculous.
Just an entire service with only Taylor Sheridan shows at this point.

P.S. she looks like she is a phony bitch. I hate her same phony fucking smile in every photo I have ever seen of her. People like her telling us she has better programming ideas than Blue Bloods is delusional, or she is a puppet. A bland white American figurehead for the mostly senior white audiences on CBS. Just in case someone wonders what I am really thinking, I HATE THIS BITCH!

I enjoyed season 1 a lot. I have not seen season 2 because Paramount will never get another fucking dime from me. Season 2 is coming to DVD this month and I will borrow the DVDs from my library. Fuck Paramount+ and CBS for canceling the good shows like Halo and Seal Team and great shows like Blue Bloods. Amy Risenbach and her loser cronies are the new Gordon Geckos of television.

Not surprised. As a sci fi fan with no experience of the game season one was great but season two was a very poor follow up. Really disappointed they cancelled but I'm not surprised.

They should have stopped making the games ages ago. The game has a huge lack of storyline except for whats important, gotta read a bunch of poorly written books if you want the lore. The show was doing it better.
