It is being reported that Chucky has been cancelled by USA Network and Syfy after three seasons. The news comes five months after the horror drama wrapped its now-final 8-episode run, which was released in two parts across 2023 and 2024.

"I'm heartbroken over the news that Chucky won't be coming back for a fourth season, but am so grateful for the killer three years we did have," said creator Don Mancini in a statement. "I'd like to thank UCP/SYFY/Peacock/Eat the Cat, our awesome cast and Toronto-based crew (the best in the business), and finally, to our amazing fans, a big bloody hug. Your incredible #RenewChucky campaign really warmed Chucky's cold heart. Chucky will return! He ALWAYS comes back."

Based on the eponymous killer doll from the 'Child's Play' film franchise, the series follows Jake, a 14-year-old budding artist who makes sculptures with doll parts in his idyllic American town. When he comes across the Chucky doll at a yard sale, he can't resist buying him. But his unsuspecting purchase gives Jake much more than he bargained for. Before long, the town is facing a series of horrific murders that expose the its deep hypocrisies and hidden secrets. At the same time, characters from Chucky's past return to his life and threaten to expose the truth behind his mysterious origins.
