CBS Tops Up 'Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage'

The new comedy has received a full season order.

CBS announced today that Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage has been picked up for a full season. The news comes just two episodes into the comedy's freshman run, which is off to a strong start. Its premiere episode earlier this month amassed an impressive 10.6 million multiplatform viewers in its first seven days.

"With the resounding success of The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon, we were instantly on board when Chuck, Steven and Steve brought us the idea to further explore this world through Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage," said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. "The enthusiastic audience reception has demonstrated the enormous appeal of these characters and we can't wait to see all of the hilarious fun this season will undoubtedly deliver."

The half-hour series follows young parents Georgie Cooper and Mandy McAllister, who do their best to raise their growing family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting, and marriage.

We've come a long ways from "The Big Bang Theory". It's watchable, but just barely. Typically with a Chuck Lorre show it takes time for the characters to get defined. And if the show survives beyond this season there will probably be massive changes in the main characters and even the situation itself.

What's going to be funny is when they can it in a few months because the ratings tanked.

And that will be the only funny thing about this failure of an idea.

I like Georgie & Mandy's FM. I don't like SWAT and may stop watching. I liked NCIS Hawai'i, but it's already gone. I like/liked Blue Bloods but it's had a great run and it's all but gone (did anybody notice grandpa is only ~6 yrs. older than the PC?).

And here I thought it would get canceled after the 4th episode!! It is missing that special something that Young Sheldon had... I was really rooting for it too but it is kind of hard to watch :(

worst show on tv. non of the actors can carry a show.Blue Bloods, Swat, Hawaii Ncis all canceled and you give this show a full season. LOL.
