No Season 2 for the horror thriller.
January 17, 2025
It is being reported that Teacup has been cancelled by Peacock after just one season. Coming less than three months after its freshman finale, the cancellation will surely disappoint fans who were looking forward to finding out more behind the mysteries established in Season 1.
Inspired by the New York Times bestselling novel "Stinger" by Robert McCammon, the horror thriller is set in rural Georgia, where a disparate group of people unite in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive. While the show garnered a generally positive reception from critics, it seemed to fly under the radar, never cracking the Nielsen Top 10 streaming charts.

This was an excellent show, too bad it got cancelled but not surprising considering so many shows are total garbage but seem to keep going.

Well, that's what you get for portraying animal cruelty and those horrific animal deaths in the show...66 % of US households have pets and obviously love animals...and what is the ONE thing they don't watch on TV or in the theaters? The networks and the studios never learn...

I had this in my list, but I guess there is no reason to watch it now.

This is why I do not watch shows that end on a cliffhanger and never get a proper ending.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised. These days it's hardly worth investing the time to watch the first season of anything, because the chances of it making it to a second season seems to be so unlikely. Too bad, this had so much potential to be a little different.

Maybe don't name your horror thriller something like Teacup.
That just makes it sound like a baby show.

It has become increasingly difficult to invest time in the first season of any series due to the high risk of cancellation. Networks seem unwilling to allow shows the opportunity to build an audience.

Damn it--really????? This could have run for at least three or four seasons. Thanks for nothing Peacock.
