The comedy will return for Season 2.

FX announced today that English Teacher has been renewed for a second season. The news comes three months after the comedy wrapped its freshman run, which garnered high praise from both critics and viewers.
"English Teacher was one of the most critically acclaimed new shows of 2024 and we are grateful to the producers, writers, cast, directors and crew for the show's creative excellence," said Nick Grad, President of Original Programming for FX Entertainment. "We look forward to the new season."
The half-hour series follows Evan Marquez, a teacher at Morrison-Hensley High who wants to be a principled person but usually runs into trouble because of it. When Evan is placed under investigation for a long-dormant incident where he kissed his boyfriend in front of students, he suddenly feels under a microscope and being targeted for his sexuality. Evan is left with one rule to abide by: no relationships with faculty. That is until he meets a charming new teacher who seems to be interested in him.
Look for Season 2 of English Teacher later this year.
