No Season 3 for the Chuck Lorre comedy.
February 18, 2025
It is being reported that Max has cancelled Bookie after two seasons. The news comes less than three weeks after the comedy wrapped its 8-episode sophomore run on the streaming service.
Created by Chuck Lorre and Nick Bakay, the half-hour series follows Danny, a veteran Los Angeles bookie who is dealing with the potential legalization of sports gambling in California, which could completely upend his business. Alongside best friend and former NFL player Ray, side-hustling sister Lorraine, and reformed drug dealer Hector, Danny must manage his increasingly unstable clients as he tries to settle their debts - all while making a number of risky bets of his own.

This show was the absolute best! I now have no reason to keep my subscription to MAX.

This pisses me off. This show was so freakin funny. My only complaint about the show is that the running time on the episodes were too short. I hope it is picked up by another streaming service.

This was the best comedy on HBO currently and was in Max top 10 every day for both seasons. Makes no sense.
