Masterpiece PBS announced today that Miss Scarlet has been renewed for a sixth season. The pickup comes less than a week after the period crime drama wrapped Season 5, which was its first without William "The Duke" Wellington's character.
"Season six brings exciting twists, new faces, and the return of beloved characters — including the much-anticipated comeback of Moses Valentine," said Patty Lenahan Ishimoto, Executive Producer. "We're thrilled to continue Eliza Scarlet's journey and deeply grateful to Masterpiece PBS and UKTV for their unwavering support in bringing the series to our dedicated fans."
"What a joy to be back with Miss Scarlet for a sixth season," said Masterpiece Head of Scripted Content and Executive Producer Susanne Simpson. "We are delighted to be able to bring fans more of Eliza, Inspector Blake and the amazing group of ensemble characters that make this show the hit that it is."
The British-American drama premiered for US audiences in 2021 as part of Masterpiece's 50th anniversary lineup, becoming an instant hit with audiences and critics. It follows Eliza Scarlet, Victorian London's first-ever female detective, who won't let anyone stop her from keeping her late father's agency running.
We're very excited to share that Miss Scarlet will be returning for Season 6! Kate Phillips, Tom Durant-Pritchard, Cathy Belton, and more, including Ansu Kabia as Moses, will be back for an all-new season on MASTERPIECE Mystery! @PBS. Get the scoop now: https://t.co/T8JOkOVfch

They are just redoing the love triangle thing with his replacement, which is lame.
