Eliza Scarlet is Victorian London's first-ever female detective, and she won't let anyone stop her from keeping her late father's agency running. Thankfully she receives help from her childhood friend and professional colleague, Scotland Yard Detective Inspector William Wellington, aka The Duke.

Hopefully Kate Phillips, the diminutive spunky Miss Scarlet, is a lot better than Lucy Lui, but maybe not. I haven't been watching drama on PBS even though it's probably better than most channels these days.
