The Reba McEntire comedy will return in 2025-2026.
February 20, 2025
NBC announced today that Happy's Place has been renewed for a second season. A short video was released on social media showing star Reba McEntire giving the good news to her co-stars on the set.
The early pickup comes with four episodes left in the comedy's freshman run. The show seemed on-track for a renewal after the network added five episodes to its first season back in November following a solid start that saw it improve NBC's ratings in the Friday 8pm time slot.
The half-hour series stars McEntire as Bobbie, a woman who unexpectedly inherits her father's restaurant only to learn that she now has a new business partner in the twentysomething half-sister she never knew she had.
Look for Season 2 of Happy's Place during the 2025-2026 television season.

Cute show. It's not an award winner, but each member of the cast is fun, and together, they make it work.
I do agree, my least favorite character is the sister, but she does have an integral part. Maybe make her less flighty, and she'd fit in better.

The show will have a chance if they get rid of that sister.

I am genuinely surprised this show got renewed. It's just not funny.
Painful to Watch

This show is painful to watch. Found the characters were not a match for this show. Found with the old show Reba they nailed it with the casting.

It’s not a great show, but it’s the right kind of show to just “have on”. The show you don’t really need to pay attention to, but it’s still a good time. Isabella was a little grating at first, but she’s gotten more likable as time went on. I love the rest of the side character cast and crew. Takota in particular is a delight every time he’s on screen.

I love Reba but gave up on this show after a few episodes. I loved the bar premise and supporting cast but the sister ruined the entire show for me. I think the show could have been great without her. If they tone down the sister then I will give this show another try.

This show has gotten better the last few episodes but it is not "must see TV' All I have is that I am happy for the cast.
