The Reba McEntire comedy will be back for 2026-2027.

NBC announced today that Happy's Place has been renewed for a third season. The pickup comes nine episodes into the comedy's sophomore run. Fellow sophomore comedy 'St. Denis Medical' was also renewed today for the 2026-2027 season.
"Both 'St. Denis Medical' and 'Happy's Place' have delivered comedic brilliance over their first two seasons, truly connecting with our audience with hilarious characters, and remain hugely important and successful programs to our primetime and Peacock lineup," said Lisa Katz, president of scripted content at NBC & Peacock. "A huge thank you to the producers, casts and crews of both shows who have brought these wonderful stories to life and will now continue to tell their laugh-out-loud stories."
The half-hour series stars Reba McEntire as Bobbie, a woman who unexpectedly inherits her father's restaurant only to learn that she now has a new business partner in the twentysomething half-sister she never knew she had.

I keep watching, hoping it will get better too (like Mike). The male characters are somewhat interesting, the female characters are a study in how to overact and be completely unlikeable. I read the NBC executive's statement about "comedic brilliance" and hilarious characters. Maybe she's watching something different?

I record and watch and I have to agree that is not great.

I have to agree with Mike. This show is just not funny. The cast is boring, and the plot is just dumb.I have to guess that Friday night is the only reason this show is getting another season. This show would be long gone on any other night.

...would love to meet the parent who helped product a daughter looking like Reba... AND produced a daughter like who looks like the "Izzy" character. All I'll say is that Izzy's mother must've been an outright troll.

I watch this every week hoping it will get better. It’s not better. It’s not funny. The story is not interesting. The characters aren’t all that likable. I have no clue why it got renewed.
