The Australian spinoff is coming back for 2025-2026.

CBS announced today that NCIS: Sydney has been renewed for a third season. The first international edition of the NCIS franchise will be coming back to the network for the 2025-2026 season. The news comes just two episodes into its sophomore run.
In NCIS: Sydney, international tensions are rising in the Indo-Pacific, and an eclectic, specialized team of U.S. NCIS agents work alongside the Australian Federal Police (AFP) in a multinational taskforce to investigate naval crimes in the world's most contested area of the ocean.

Surprised this was renewed when so many better shows got axed. It's not a bad show but the cast is just "off". Specifically the 2 "secondary" cops. They are either bad actors or the writers just can't figure out what to do with them.

I never watched the original series. This one is not great but I have see worse.

Why? I couldn't even get through 1 season of this rubbish, why would you renew it for a second let alone a third.
There are no US naval bases in Sydney - the closest naval facility which even has a remote association to the US is a refuelling depot in Western Australia over 3,000km away. Naval Base Sydney closed down in 1945 - it is ancient history and no longer even exists. There is absolutely no reason of the US to have an NCIS office in Sydney and that is just the stupidity of the show's premise. When you look at the ridiculous stories and the total lack of character in the agents you just lose interest after 5 minutes.
Why renew this rubbish but cancel other good shows - we will never understand the stupidity of network execs.
