Prime Video has cancelled Citadel: Diana after one season. The news comes six months after the Italian spy drama released its freshman run. Fellow 'Citadel' spinoff 'Citadel: Honey Bunny' was also cancelled today. Going forward, Season 2 of 'Citadel' does have plans to include elements from the cancelled shows' storylines when it debuts next year.

"Having successfully traversed India and Italy, storylines from both Citadel: Honey Bunny and Citadel: Diana will be woven into the upcoming second season of the mothership series Citadel," said Vernon Sanders, head of television, Amazon MGM Studios, in a statement. "While these successful and widely enjoyed international chapters will not continue as individual series, Season 2 of Citadel will be our most exhilarating yet. With high-stakes storytelling, new additions to our amazing cast and bold, cinematic ambition, the new season will deepen the emotional journeys of Nadia, Mason and Orlick against the relentless force that is Manticore. We're excited to share what's next when Citadel Season 2 premieres globally in Q2 of 2026."

Citadel: Diana is set in 2030 Milan. Eight years ago, the independent global spy agency Citadel was destroyed by the powerful enemy syndicate, Manticore. Since then, undercover Citadel agent Diana Cavalieri has been trapped alone behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore. When she finally sees a way out and the chance to disappear forever, she needs to trust the most unexpected ally, Edo Zani, the heir of Manticore Italy and son of the head of the Italian organization, Ettore Zani, who's vying for leadership against the other European families.
