MTV has announced that The Challenge is coming back for a 41st season this summer. The veteran competition series wrapped its 40th 'Battle of the Eras' season earlier this year, where it continued to garner impressive ratings for the cable network.
On the air since 1998, the show is MTV's longest running competition series. Each season features men and women competing in various themed formats filled with over-the-top challenges in hopes of taking home the grand prize.
Season 41 will feature fan favorite veterans Aneesa Ferreira, Leroy Garrett, and CT Tamburello. The full cast and theme have not yet been announced.

This used to be "must see TV for me" for many years. Now not so much. Too much house politics and less challenges makes it boring and predictable.

I still absolutely LOVE this show!!! One of my favorite competition series ... filled with exciting challenges and yea... drama drama drama!
Because we have followed many of the Challengers (for 40+ seasons), you feel like you know them...which makes you feel a little more invested in the show! I have watch every season of Survivor and honestly do not recall many of the players (never mind their names LOL)... but with the Challenge I can name 25+ off the top of my head in seconds!
