Fox has announced that Fear Factor is coming to the network in a reimagined new series. It has been nearly 25 years since the iconic dare/stunt game show made its debut on network television.
Fear Factor originated on NBC back in 2001 and became one of its first hit reality shows. Its success continued for a number of years before eventually being cancelled in 2006. An attempt to bring the show back in 2011 fizzled out after just one season. MTV tried their own version in 2017, updated with stunts inspired by viral videos, scary movies, and urban legends. That one lasted two seasons.
Fox's upcoming revival, tentatively titled 'Fear Factor: The Next Chapter,' promises to be bigger, bolder, and more daring. A group of strangers will be dropped into an unforgiving, remote location where they will live together under one roof and face mind-blowing stunts, harrowing challenges, and a twisted game of social strategy where trust is fleeting - and fear is a weapon.
Look for the new Fear Factor during the 2025-2026 season.

Ugh, no way! The only reason these reality competitions keep coming back is that their cheap to make in that the networks do not have to pay any actors.

Brenda why so angry, Joe isn't coming back, he makes 25 million a year on his podcast, why go back make 80k a show??

Only the weak minded will watch this. Everyone else will understand the dichotomy of it. Either the stunts are perfectly safe no matter how much "bigger, bolder, and more daring" you attempt to make them. The contestants are in more danger at a diner than on the show. Or the show is dangerous and fox is asking the audience to watch to see someone get hurt.
