The acclaimed drama has more story to tell.
July 1, 2025
FX announced today that The Bear has been picked up for a fifth season on Hulu. The news comes less than a week after the acclaimed drama returned for Season 4, with its final episode, titled "Goodbye," leaving fans wondering if that was the end. Thankfully the show has more story to tell in 2026.
"The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide, and their response to this season — as seen through incredibly high viewership — has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons," said FX chairman John Landgraf in a statement. "Year-in and year-out, Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story."
The series follows Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto, a young chef from the fine dining world who moves back to Chicago to run his family's restaurant after a death in the family. Out of his comfort zone, Carmy must grapple with the loss of his brother while balancing small business ownership, his stubborn kitchen staff, and his strained family relationships.
The current season finds Carmy, Sydney, Richie, and the rest of the staff trying to push the new restaurant forward — while a ticking clock reminds them how long they have before they run out of money.

I am glad to read similar comments. Season 1 was great, season 2 was kind of good. Season 3 and 4 are just for background noise. I want to see Bear and Claire get together, that’s really the main reason I am still watching it.

I absolutely LOVED season one! It was one of the best shows! Then season two came out and wow, it was just awful. I tried to watch season three but gave up. I just can’t watch it anymore, it lost its charm. Season one will still be special, but the rest of the series is just unwatchable for me.

I thought season 3 was horrible. I gave season 4 a chance but 2 episodes into I just could not stomach it anymore. The plot and storyline is horrible and all over the place. I really loved season 1, but it’s gone downhill since then. Disappointed with season 4 and it was just tough to watch.

@Charlotte you are not the only one. I really tried to get into this show but maybe it was the extreme hype that had me anticipating more, but I did not get it either.
Right direction

Dave - Season 3 was absolutely horrible….I was worried they ruined a solid show. But thankfully season 4 was much, much better than 3. Still not where it needs to be like seasons 1 & 2. But at least moving in the right direction. I still feel there were a couple of episodes that dragged and some areas that the director was trying to hard to make it an art project. He needs to remember it’s a 30 min drama, dramedy, or even romcomesque (for lack of a better description for seasons 1&2….i know some words are made up, but hopefully you catch my drift). It definitely has me looking forward to season 5 and hopefully that season will surpass 1&2 (at least be comparable) Hope that helps!

Brett - nope don't watch reality TV & can't stand The View & the hosts (in fact not even American).
If you have to insult people that are not sheep & simply don't enjoy an overrated TV show then that says more about you.

Charlotte
Just watch Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, The View. Seems like more your style.

it is still good but not on the extremely high levels of the first two seasons. That being said it is still engaging so people watch it .So having a good solid show will bring inore viewers
