No Season 6 for Fox's animated comedy.
October 3, 2025
Word is out that Fox has cancelled The Great North after five seasons. The news comes two weeks after the animated comedy wrapped its now-final run, leaving its total episode count just three shy of 100.
"We're so grateful for everything Wendy, Lizzie, Loren and the amazing cast and crew put into The Great North," said Michael Thorn, President of Fox Television Network. "It's difficult to say goodbye, but we're thankful for the five hilarious seasons The Great North brought to the iconic Animation Domination lineup."
The half-hour series follows a single father living in Alaska with his quirky bunch of kids. He does his best to keep them close, but the artistic dreams of his only daughter, Judy, lead her away from the family's fishing boat and into the big lights of the local mall. With the kids' mom not being in the picture, Judy looks for guidance from her new boss as well as her imaginary friend, Alanis Morissette, who appears to her in the Northern Lights.

Someone mentioned this went to make room for American Dad’s return? If true I’m pissed. So tired of McFarlane getting everything he wants. Used to love AD but just like Family Guy it got old & redundant. And gross. If Fox is going to embrace animation they should give it more than 4 half hr slots and stop alternating Sundays. Why bother if they’re not going to stand behind ALL their people? Seth McF. isn’t the king of Animation Domination like he was decades ago.

Bob's Burgers is my jam! I really tried to get into this program, had a great cast but something was just not clicking with this one. It will probably come back like Family Guy and K.O.T.H.and I will give it another chance, just like I will give all people another chance. The comments got way too mean on these lately, use be to silly trolls, now its just mean Magas and Karen's. Lighten up! There is nothing to be so angry about, you all got everything you wanted and more. Holidays are coming, love and peace to all.

At least they got to go out with a proper farewell finale. They earned that.
“Thank you” to the cast and crew of a wonderful show.

One down, many more to go. "Grimsburg" is the only watchable animated show on FOX in my humble opinion.

I think Brenda is seeing the name Fox in Fox Network and thinking that it is still owned by Rupert Murdox who owns Fox "News." It is now owned by Disney.
Fox "News" makes up stories, as was proven many many many times in court, and is called Faux "News."

Good now take that awful Bob's Burgers with it. Both are unwatchable.

dengar - Brenda's probably referring to the Fox Network as fake news. Still doesn't make sense, but that's my only guess.
