Reports are out that Fox has renewed The Great North for a fourth season. The pickup is an early one, coming ahead of the animated comedy's third season, which premieres next month. It coincides with co-creators Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin signing a new overall deal with 20th Television Animation.

The half-hour series follows a single father living in Alaska with his quirky bunch of kids. He does his best to keep them close, but the artistic dreams of his only daughter, Judy, lead her away from the family's fishing boat and into the big lights of the local mall. With the kids' mom not being in the picture, Judy looks for guidance from her new boss as well as her imaginary friend, Alanis Morissette, who appears to her in the Northern Lights.
