Fox has announced that The Great North is coming back for a fifth season. The pickup comes ahead of this Sunday's Season 4 finale, which will bring the animated comedy to the 70-episode mark.
The half-hour series follows a single father living in Alaska with his quirky bunch of kids. He does his best to keep them close, but the artistic dreams of his only daughter, Judy, lead her away from the family's fishing boat and into the big lights of the local mall. With the kids' mom not being in the picture, Judy looks for guidance from her new boss as well as her imaginary friend, Alanis Morissette, who appears to her in the Northern Lights.
Look for Season 5 of The Great North as a midseason entry during the 2024-2025 television season.

I absolutely love both Bobs Burgers and the Great North , I find both shows funny and would be rather upset if they cancelled GN . Family Guy nope not my bag nor is the Simpsons , American Dad or FuterRama . I have started watching Solar Opposites and am starting to get into it, it’s had me laugh crying a few times. I can also imagine my own Wall where I shrink ppl I can’t stand LOL .

Don't give up on it until you at least watch S3E4 "Code Enough Said Adventure." The writing in this episode is so clever, and the lines are delivered so quickly, back and forth like an Aaron Sorkin show. If you can't get into what I feel is their best episode so far, then you're right. This show isn't really your thing. And I agree with you, Luis, about Bob's...it's definitely my favorite. No other animation comes close to being as consistently funny, and even heartwarming (the Christmas episode with Louise reading her poem and the episode with Regular Rudy at the restaurant with his divorced parents and their significant others both made me teary eyed). What they should do is get rid of Family Guy. Now THAT show is played out.

Why is the great north is coming back! It's a unfunny show! Nothing like Bob's burger. That show is funny. Grimsburg is a way better show than this .

Funny show! The addition of Jane Lynch is fantastic! This show is way better than Krapopolous and Grimsburg combined.
