Netflix announced today that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Deathwatch has been renewed for a second season. The news comes just one day after the animated series released its 8-episode freshman run to generally favorable reviews.
Based on the iconic video game franchise, the show follows Sam Fisher, a field commander of a covert unit of the U.S. government, known as the Fourth Echelon, that specializes in counter-terrorism stealth operations. Sam is drawn back into the field when a wounded young operative seeks out his help.

Just another Netflix DEI adaptation
The main character of the series is now an old man and all the other characters have been replaced by strong independent women of all possible colors while all the bad guys are white males. Throw in some bland animation style, a paper thin plot and you've got another Netflix adaptation ruining the original IP.
