No Season 3 for the murder mystery series.
November 13, 2025
It is being reported by Deadline that Peacock has cancelled Poker Face after two seasons. The news comes four months after the murder mystery series wrapped its sophomore run. Word is, though, that creator Rian Johnson and executive producer Natasha Lyonne are trying to keep the show alive.
Word is a new iteration of the show is being shopped to other outlets that would see Peter Dinklage take over for Lyonne in the starring role. They are reportedly seeking a two-season commitment for any possible future home.
"We've been germinating this next move together since writing the season two finale," said Johnson and Lyonne in a statement. "We love our 'Poker Face' and this is the perfect way to keep it rolling. Give us a beat and we may just see Charlie Cale again down that open highway."
Structured as a murder-of-the-week mystery, the series starred Lyonne as Charlie Cale, a woman who has the extraordinary ability to tell when somebody is lying. On the run from a casino boss, she hits the road and travels across the country in her '69 Plymouth Barracuda, with each stop leading to an encounter with a new cast of characters and strange crimes she is compelled to solve.

Any show that is unique is being dumped. I would say that the show is good with NaTasha, but Peter Dinklage is super talented. His one episode of The Lowdown deserves him an Emmy. If Natasha is somehow involved in the show, either as an actor or producer, I will keep watching.

Cloak……shut up. You sound ignorant. Dinklage is a legend. Nothing to do with “appearing to be inclusive.” Do you see a lot of little people in movies and shows? No…..you don’t. Chill out fool. He gets roles because he’s extremely talented.
But then there’s PLOP…..who sounds like CLOAK’s cousin. Because PLOP likes the show, but upon finding out that an actress likes AI(which PLOP uses daily and doesn’t even realize it….because it’s been around for many decades)……no longer likes the show.
Make it all make sense.

as someone who watched all of both seasons I can honestly say this show got stale by ep3. The premise would have worked better as a couple made for tv movies. A “whodunnit” is fun when the audience gets to help solve the case, put the clues together and work out the puzzle, but this show told us from the get who the killer is and then for the next hour we sit around waiting for the show to catch up with what we already know. It’s a murder show, W/ o any mystery. Natasha was the only saving grace, if not for her I definitely would have quit by ep3.

.. and Dinklage is WAY overrated. He's cast more for his size than any acting ability. (So the show can *appear* to be inclusive)

The older Lyonne gets.. the more she reminds me of Jackie Mason when she speaks....
This show as a dumb "Murder She Wrote" knock off.

WTF!!!! Lyonne is so talented! Why would you cancel this? It was quirky and funny. I am not sure if I would watch it without Lyonne either, but I'm also a big fan of Peter Dinklage--he is super talented--very complex characters he plays. How about Lyonne and Dinklage together??? How about that????

Fucking why. Ratings were good and everything. If they get picked up somewhere else, I will not continue with out Lyonne. She made that show

Damn that sucks. I like Peter Dinklage as much as anyone but part of Poker Face’s appeal was Natasha Lyonne’s performance as Charlie. Very hard to picture it without her and season 2 ended feeling like there were so many possibilities for her character to go.
