I really enjoyed the first episode!! While watching it, I couldn't help but think that it just needed a little twist... Well, the twist did come in the last moments of the episode! I am really looking forward to watching this new TV drama! I just hope the network doesn't ax it like they do whenever there is a good new show!

I was impressed with the 1st episode. I cant wait to watch the next one. Kathy Bates is just amazing in it. The only similarity with the original is the name.

@Just Keith and @Raylan125, it's obvious you didn't watch it. Maybe, just maybe, you should give it a try before knocking it. The only similarity to the original Matlock is the name and it has an older actor in the lead role. You might find that it actually has some redeeming value and is worth spending an hour of your time.
FWIW, I wasn't expecting much from it either, but I was giving it one or two episodes before I ditched it. Now that I've seen it, it's a must watch for me. That's right, I was surprised with what I saw. Maybe you will be too! They will replay the premier if you can't figure out how to watch it on demand.

Great. Another reboot / restart / rewrite / redo / re-imagine... WHATEVER.

For the record, I gave this one star a month and a half before it's premier date. You can tell they have zero ideas for shows left on CBS
