It was announced today that The Ms. Pat Show has been picked up for a sixth season. Comedian Patricia "Ms. Pat" Williams posted the good news on Instagram, where she also announced that the acclaimed comedy is moving networks from BET+ to Paramount+.
The upcoming season will be among the first BET originals to stream on Paramount+, which becomes the new streaming home for BET content beginning in June, bringing the beloved series to a global platform with nearly 80 million subscribers.
Based on Ms. Pat's stand-up material, the series follows the titular character, who grew up on the streets of Atlanta but now finds herself living in conservative middle America. She spends her days as a reluctant suburban mother alongside her penny-pinching husband and two sets of kids brought up under different circumstances.
