CBS announced today that Beyond the Gates has been renewed for Seasons 3 and 4. The pickup will take the daytime soap opera through at least the 2027-2028 season.
The series debuted in 2025 as the first new daytime soap opera on a major network since 1999's 'Passions.' Currently airing Season 2, the show is already approaching the 300-episode mark.
Set in a leafy Maryland suburb outside of Washington, D.C., Beyond the Gates follows The Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family living in one the most affluent African American counties in the United States. While they are considered the very definition of Black royalty, behind the pristine walls and manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered.
