No Season 3 for the medical drama.
May 1, 2026
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Brilliant Minds after two seasons. The news isn't really a surprise, as it was the network's lowest rated linear drama. The writing appeared to be on the wall when NBC pulled the medical drama from its schedule back in February, opting to air 2-hour episodes of 'The Voice' instead.
Inspired by the extraordinary life and work of world-famous author and physician Oliver Sacks, the series stars Zachary Quinto as Oliver Wolf, a revolutionary neurologist who, with his team of interns, explores the last great frontier - the human mind - while dealing with their own relationships and mental health.
The show does still have six episodes remaining in its now-final run. Those will begin airing on May 27.

I tried to watch it, but the show had no heart. Perhaps that was because of the nature of the main character which would make it the fault of the showrunners.

I agree with alot of the comments. It was so good at the beginning, but when they started with the past, it got confusing. I wish they would have continued with how it was at the beginning with different cases .....

The jumping around in time really ruined the show for me. It also didn't help to have a majority of characters who were just awful.

We loved this show! I am sad to see that it's being canceled. It had great potential even in the crazy 2nd season. But, others here are right, it's hard to follow a series when the stupid network keeps pulling it from week to week!

I loved this show at the beginning, but once they had all these flash-backs of him in the psych ward, it got a bit confusing. They should have stuck with the way the show was from the start ... Just my observation....

Nbc kept taking weeks off hard to tell if it's be on week to week. Raylan is just a bully

I never watched it, but I know why no one else did either.

The 1st season was amazing! The 2nd messed up bad. They shouldn't have let 2 major characters go in the SAME episode!!! That threw off the entire show dynamic! I understand people move on but that to me was a poor decision by the showrunners. It was a unique show and I miss the "1st season" vibe.
