Fox announced today that Murder in a Small Town has been renewed for Season 3. The news comes five months after the Canadian crime drama wrapped its 10-episode sophomore run, which continued to perform well for the network with series highs in both 7-day total multiplatform and streaming.
"We love bringing this cozy and delightful mystery to Fox fans, and we're thrilled Murder in a Small Town has continued to resonate with our audience," said Brooke Bowman, Executive Vice President of Drama Programming & Development, Fox Television Network. "We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Sepia Films and Future Shack on Season Three, alongside our exceptional cast led by Rossif Sutherland and Kristin Kreuk and soon to include the incomparable talent of Peter Gallagher as their newest adversary."
Based on the Edgar Award-winning, nine-book "Karl Alberg" series by acclaimed novelist L.R. Wright, the series follows Karl Alberg, who moved to a quiet, coastal town to soothe a psyche that has been battered by big-city police work. But this gentle paradise harbors more than its share of secrets. Karl must utilize all the skills that made him a world-class detective to solve the murders that continue to wash up on his shore.
